Our Participation in Pilot Program Supports Youth and the Early Childhood Education Workforce Needs

Family Resource Center is participating in a new pilot program, Paid Pathways to Teaching Preschool Program (also known as the P3 Project)-collaborating with San Joaquin Delta College, local high schools, and the San Joaquin Children’s Alliance. Family Resource Center’s very own Joan Richards Learning Village Preschool’s teaching staff are supporting the paid high school student interns with hands-on experiences each week in the Preschool’s classrooms. The team at Joan Richards Learning Village Preschool, along with our project partners, are providing the students with mentorship and support to help them pursue their dreams of becoming an early childhood educator post high school. The P3 Program along with Family Resource Center’s commitment to boosting the supply of early childhood educators, will help increase access to quality child care and Preschool for working families.
