Help Me Grow

Do you have questions or concerns about your child’s developmental growth?

Call (209) 461-2728 for a FREE screening. Help Me Grow is a call center that offers FREE Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) developmental screening for any child ages 0 to 5 in San Joaquin County.

The (ASQ) Ages and Stages Questionnaires screening covers the five areas of development:

Gross Motor
Social Emotional
Fine Motor
Problem Solving
Communication

FamilyWORKs

If you are a California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) recipient and have a child 0 to 3 years of age, you may qualify for FamilyWORKs.

FamilyWORKs offers FREE home visits with trained professionals who provide support to you and your family:

Getting kids ready to succeed in school
Providing helpful information and activities for you and your child to enjoy with items you may already have in your home
Connecting parents with community resources
Helping with online searching and applying for jobs

San Joaquin Treatment & Education for Everyone on Teeth and Health (SJ TEETH)

Do you need help with locating a dentist or scheduling your dental appointments? Or wanting to improve your oral health?

SJ TEETH provides assistance to families receiving Medi-Cal with 0-5 children to improve their oral health. A Care Coordinator will assist with:

Identifying and selecting a dentist
Scheduling dental appointments
Conducts follow-up to ensure that services were received and if additional support is needed
Provides educational materials and oral health supplies

Read to Me, Stockton

Do you have a child under the age of five living in Stockton and south San Joaquin County?

We are proud to announce that Read to Me, Stockton! is now enrolling children in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library who live in all the south San Joaquin County communities plus those who live in Stockton! This expansion will potentially double our enrollment and provide early literacy activities for all our youngest children. We’re now sending free books each month to children in Manteca, Tracy, Mountain House, Escalon, Ripon, Lathrop, Linden, French Camp and Stockton! Families can also now choose to receive the books in English and Spanish.

Registrations are open for all children 0-5 living in the cities listed above to receive one FREE book every month through Read to Me, Stockton! and the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
