Help Me Grow

Do you have questions or concerns about your child’s developmental growth?

Call (209) 461-2728 for a FREE screening. Help Me Grow is a call center that offers FREE Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) developmental screening for any child ages 0 to 5 in San Joaquin County.

The (ASQ) Ages and Stages Questionnaires screening covers the five areas of development:

  • Gross Motor
  • Social Emotional
  • Fine Motor
  • Problem Solving
  • Communication

FamilyWORKs

If you are a California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) recipient and have a child 0 to 3 years of age, you may qualify for FamilyWORKs.

FamilyWORKs, in response to COVID-19, is offering FREE virtual home visits with trained professionals who will provide support to you and your family during this critical time. The FamilyWORKs program supports families by:

  • Getting kids ready to succeed in school
  • Providing helpful information and activities for you and your child to enjoy with items you may already have in your home
  • Connecting parents with community resources
  • Helping with online searching and applying for jobs 

Home Visitation Initiative

The Home Visitation Initiative provides services to help parents with: 

  • Parent-Child Interaction
  • Development-Centered Parenting
  • Family Well-Being
  • Parent Workshops
  • School-Readiness Information
  • Referral Services, including Dental and Health Insurance

Parent Cafés

Parent Cafés provide a safe, non-judgmental opportunity for parents and caregivers to build their protective factors while engaging in conversations about what it means to keep their children safe and families strong, while also building parent leadership.

Family Resource Center offers multiple Parent Cafes a year for both Parents and Home Visitation personnel who work with families in San Joaquin County.
