[Stockton, CA] dd’s DISCOUNTS will be supporting Family Resource Center in fundraising for books for children in their programs through the annual Youth Literacy Fundraiser. Fundraising will begin on August 2nd at the Stockton store located at 1120 E. Hammer Lane. This back-to-school donation drive will collect in-store donations to help Family Resource Center give new books and resources for children in their programs.
From August 2-24, the Hammer Lane dd’s DISCOUNTS Store will collect donations to ensure that Family Resource Center has not just one, but many books to gift to children in the First 5 San Joaquin programs of Home Visitation Initiative, Family, Friend, and Neighbor, Help Me Grow, and SJTEETH.
Customers will be encouraged to donate at dd’s registers. One hundred percent of all donations collected will be used by Family Resource Center to purchase new books from First Book, a nonprofit organization working to remove barriers to education and level the playing field for kids in need. Customers can also stop by the Family Resource Center information table, located inside the store, to learn more about the programs that their donations will be supporting.
