Parent Success Story

Meet Davina! Davina is an FRRC client, a single Mom, using our child care assistance program. She is employed by a major retailer and holds a full-time supervisory position. We recently chatted (socially distanced) with Davina and asked her to share her experiences of using FRRC services. This is what she had to say:

“I wouldn’t have had the resources to better myself without FRRC. To have my daughter taken care of by a trusted provider feels safe and amazing. FRRC was quite literally the only source of dependability I had as a young single Mom. I’ve really been able to utilize the program, advancing myself personally and professionally. I was able to get promoted in my various jobs, which meant that I received pay increases, but FRRC didn’t pull the rug out from me. They off-set my parent fees based on my income, so I was still able to afford the care my daughter needed. At the beginning of the pandemic my hours at my job were reduced by 50%, but FRRC stepped in and waived the family fees, which was a blessing in disguise. I recommend that if parents are in need of help that they make the call to FRRC to help them with their child care situation-it will benefit both you and your child.”
