Corporate Giving

Is your business looking to give back to the community?

Below we have many ways of how businesses can make contributions to help our community.

Cause Related Marketing

Cause marketing is a great way to build a strong reputation and strengthen your brand while driving positive outcomes in society. If you are a leader within your corporation, large or small, and would like to partner with Family Resource & Referral Center (FRRC), contact us. A partnership with FRRC generates positive public relations and marketing opportunities within your company, positioning you as a corporate leader within San Joaquin County-helping strengthen the lives of children, families, and community.

When Businesses Match an Employee Donation

Many companies offer corporate matching gift programs in order to prioritize corporate social responsibility. Matching gifts are a type of corporate giving program that essentially doubles an employee's initial donation. When an employee makes a donation, they’ll request the matching gift from their employer, who then matches the employee donation at a 1:1, 2:1, 3:1, or even a 4:1 ratio.  If your employer offers matching gifts, request a matching gift form and send it in along with your donation.

Companies Matching Fundraising Efforts- Offering a Matching Gift Challenge

Matching gift challenges motivate fundraisers and donors to act fast to double their impact on the cause. These challenges can be activated when a company or donor agrees to match other incoming gifts dollar-for-dollar. They’re often times either capped at a certain amount or time period; both create urgency, which is critical to a matching challenge.  The issuance of the matching gift challenge creates opportunities to engage the community and generate positive sentiment for the company/donor who provides the match.

In-kind contributions or services

In-kind contributions are donations of goods, services or time—instead of cash.  In-kind gifts allow FRRC to benefit from donated products and services, realizing a savings that can be used directly toward programming.  Companies benefit by getting their product/services to market and receiving additional recognition in the community, all while feeling a sense of philanthropic pride in knowing that they helped further a worthy cause.

Automatic Payroll Deduction

For employees who wish to effortlessly donate to a worthy cause, automatic payroll deductions are one of the easiest ways to regularly contribute to a nonprofit organization. Family Resource & Referral Center is partnered with United Way of San Joaquin to become a recipient of the United Way workplace campaigns. If your business is not currently involved with the United Way, please contact them to schedule a meeting to offer a payroll deduction program at your office or business.  If your organization does not participate in workplace giving campaigns and you would like to support FRRC in an ongoing way, recurring monthly giving may be the option for you.

Annual Giving/Corporate Giving Campaigns

Companies will create a giving campaign among their employees, collecting donations to support a specific cause.  Once the campaign goal is met, the company distributes the collected funds to the designated organization.  Most companies promote year-long giving, but some employers also encourage donations at certain times of the year. The most popular time for companies to promote employee giving is at the end of the year when individuals have a firmer grasp on how much money they can allocate for charitable contributions.
