Through a grant received from San Joaquin County Public Health Services, FRC has been able to distribute 675 brand-new Austin Air Purifiers (commercial grade) for many of our licensed and licensed-exempt Child Care Providers throughout San Joaquin County. Providers who have received the air purifiers have expressed thanks to us for helping remove bacteria, allergens, and viruses at their sites. COO, Tiffany Phovixay, says, “Being able to give health and safety items to our Child Care Providers warms my heart. We are so fortunate to have great public-private partners that make this type of contribution possible.” Our collaboration between SJ Public Health and Collins Electrical Inc. (for storing the large units for us) has allowed us to help our Provider community at a critical time. Distribution events were held in the parking lot of Collins Electrical, Inc. last month. Air Purifiers are a proven COVID-19 mitigations strategy recommended by CDC to ensure Child Care Providers are protected.
