Family Resource Center to Host Annual Children & Youth Day Event at Pixie Woods Amusement Park

Wednesday, May 17, 2023

(Stockton CA) Step right up! The Family Resource Center will host Children & Youth Day on Saturday, June 3rd 10AM-3:30PM at Pixie Woods Amusement Park located at 3121 Monte Diablo Avenue. This year’s theme is Carnival Fun. Event admittance and activities are free for children and families in San Joaquin County. The event will include arts & craft activities, entertainment, and information & resources for the whole family.

Children & Youth Day is designed to increase community awareness of services and opportunities available for children, from infants through teens. The first 700 children who enter the gates will receive a free plush toy. Sparkles, the Clown will delight children with her energetic balloon fun and magic. World renowned-record musician and YouTube sensation, Neil Nayyar (who has mastered 107 musical instruments), will perform at the park’s Toad Stool Theatre. Children will be invited to join the Mascot Parade and to enjoy local Hmong dancers as they honor the culture through traditional music and dance. San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Officers and K-9 partners will demonstrate how the canine packs keep our community safe, and step into San Joaquin RTD’s electric bus to learn where it can take you.

Visit with over forty exhibitors providing crafts, information, and resources that benefit children and families. Facepainting, bubble station, hands-on activities, and the carousel rides are free for event attendees. Sponsored by Health Plan of San Joaquin, Altamont Corridor Express (ACE CAP), and First 5 San Joaquin, this is the Family Resource Center’s 33rd Children & Youth Day Event.
